🌿 Where Music Meets the Mind
Music, in early childhood, is more than an art, it is a language of the brain.
The Childhood Music Program (CMP) is a thoughtfully designed educational experience that nurtures the child through music, movement, and creative expression. Informed by research in neuroscienceand developmental psychology, and shaped by years of professional practice, the program supports cognitive, social, and emotional development during the most formative years of growth.
⸻
🎵 A Personal Approach
CMP is offered in a semi-private setting, with small groups of 5 to 6 children (ages 4–7).
Within this intimate environment, each child receives individual attention and thoughtful guidance allowing their unique pace, personality, and potential to unfold with care.
⸻
✨ A Program with Foundation
An original educational program conceived and created by Anait Koutsouzian, grounded in years of research and interdisciplinary experience across music and health-related fields.
Through rhythm, melody, and movement, children develop:
-
memory and attention
-
language and communication
-
confidence and social connection
-
creativity and emotional expression
Music becomes not just something they learn but something they live.
⸻
🌿 Program Structure
Each level consists of 12 classes, one hour per class:
Preliminary Level
Awakening the Musical Ear
A first encounter with rhythm, sound, and movement through play and exploration.
Intermediate Level
Building Connection & Skills
Developing rhythm, coordination, and deeper participation in musical activities.
Advanced Level
Expression & Musical Confidence
Encouraging individuality, creativity, and confident musical expression.
Graduate Level
Integration & Artistic Presence
Bringing all elements together with confidence, awareness, and joy.
Children at this stage are invited to participate in Winter and Summer recitals, sharing their musical growth in a supportive and joyful setting.
⸻
🎓 Recognition & Achievement
Each level of the Childhood Music Program (CMP) includes meaningful recognition of the child’s progress:
-
After Preliminary Level → Certificate of Completion
-
After Intermediate Level → Certificate of Progress
-
After Advanced Level → Certificate of Achievement
Upon successfully completing all levels, students receive:
CMP Graduate Certificate in Early Musical Development (Research-Based Program)
This certification reflects the child’s full journey through a structured, science-informed musical education.
⸻
🎼 Pathway Forward
With a solid foundation in musical concepts including note recognition, understanding of note values, musical rhythm, listening skills, early music theory, and creative movement students develop both musical and physical awareness.
This foundation supports a smooth transition into private music lessons such as piano, violin, voice, or drums, and also provides a strong base for movement-based disciplines such as dance.
CMP graduates are well prepared to begin private instruction with confidence and often progress beyond introductory material, depending on individual readiness and teacher assessment.
